Itraconazole cream is used to treat fungal infections of the mouth or vagina (thrush), skin and other parts of the body (eg toenails and fingers). Itraconazole is an antifungal medication. It kills fungi and stops their growth by destroying their cell membrane and thus cures skin inflammation.

Tinea Cruris (Jock itch): A characteristic red itchy rash in the groin area, jock itch is another fungal infection that can be treated with itraconazole cream. Regular use of the cream can relieve symptoms and eliminate inflammation.
Tinea Corporis (Ringworm): Despite its name, ringworm is not caused by a worm but by a fungus. It looks like a round red rash with raised edges that often resemble a ring. Itraconazole cream can effectively fight the fungus that causes tinea and promote the healing of damaged skin.
Tinea Pedis (Athlete’s foot): This common fungal infection affects the skin between the toes, causing the skin to itch, burn and crack. Itraconazole cream can effectively eliminate athlete’s foot, which relieves symptoms and prevents recurrence.
Other fungal infections: Itraconazole Cream can also be prescribed for other fungal skin infections seen by a doctor.
Dry skin: Some people may experience dry skin upon application. This can usually be controlled with moisturizers or emollients, but if it persists for a long time or worsens, you should see a doctor.
Skin irritation: Itching, Mild redness, or burning at the application site is a common side effect of itraconazole cream. It usually gets better on its own as the skin gets used to the medication.
Allergic reactions: In rare cases, people may experience allergic reactions to itraconazole cream characterized by severe swelling, itching, or rash. If signs of an allergic reaction appear, immediate medical attention is required.
